In her first running of the 800m event this season, Brea took top billing at the Mets Outdoor Championships after clocking in at 2:11.79. Setting a new personal record, the Spaniard also posted the conference’s best time in the event this season. Brea also occupies the top spots on the NEC performance list in the 3000m steeplechase by a wide margin with a time of 10:31.64. This is her second NEC Track Athlete of the Week award, as she previously earned the honor on April 5.
