Marsden’s bat played a key role in helping Saint Francis U score a three-game sweep of FDU in NEC play this past weekend. The senior pitcher/utility player went 6-for-10 for a .600 average to go along with a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .636 on-base percentage. Marsden had a solid outing in the Red Flash’s series opener, knocking an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth and a solo shot in the bottom of the sixth to round out the scoring in a 6-0 victory on Friday. In Saturday’s series finale, the Erie, PA native was just as impressive, going 2-for-3 with an RBI in the one-run walk-off victory. Among league leaders, Marsden ranks inside the top five in slugging percentage (.525), runs (22), RBI (20), home runs (6) and total bases (53). This is her third weekly award of the season, as she was previously tabbed the NEC Pitcher of the Week on March 28 and the NEC Player of the Week on Feb. 28.
