Marsden made two starts for Saint Francis U inside the circle and came away with a pair of victories after posting a 0.00 ERA. In addition, she scattered just six hits and struck out nine during that two-game stretch. In her first appearance of the week, the Erie, PA native was solid, allowing just three base runners on two hits and one walk after working the first 3.0 frames of a 16-0, five-inning victory against Stonehill on Tuesday. Marsden went on to earn the nod in the nightcap of a doubleheader with LIU on Sunday, and she was lights out. Fanning five batters, the senior scattered just four hits and did not allow an earned run in the five-inning, 9-1 triumph. Marsden also contributed offensively in that win, as her two-RBI double in the first inning opened the scoring for the Red Flash and gave them a lead they would not relinquish. This is Marsden’s second weekly award of the season, as she was previously named the NEC Player of the Week on Feb. 28.
