Wilson becomes the second Saint Francis U player to garner NEC Rookie of the Week honors this season, as she joins Tessa Thompson, who earned the distinction back on March 14. The catcher went 5-for-10 at the plate and slugged .800 to help the Red Flash go 3-1 in NEC play last week. Registering at least one hit in all four games to extend her streak to six, Wilson combined for three runs and three RBI in that stretch. The Friendswood, TX native drove in two after going yard in the series finale victory over Stonehill — a 16-0 victory — before she rounded out the scoring in a 9-1 win against LIU with an RBI single on Sunday. With her current hot streak, Wilson has bumped her average to .279, which is good for third on the team.
