Hannan racked up six caused turnovers, eight draw controls and seven ground balls to help Wagner post a 1-1 record last week. The 2022 Defensive Player of the Year went to work against Stetson on Wednesday, causing a trio of turnovers while adding four draw controls, two ground balls and an assist in the 14-11 defeat. Three days later, Hannan came up big against Stonehill, registering three caused turnovers, four draw controls and five ground balls. With the win, the Seahawks moved to 2-0 in NEC play for the fifth time in as many seasons. A native of Rockville, MD, Hannan is fourth in the conference in ground balls per game (2.75), while her 1.62 caused turnovers per contest are good for second in the loop. This is Hannan’s second NEC Defensive Player of the Week award, as she previously earned the distinction on Feb. 20.
