Thompson went 5-for-10 with an .800 slugging percentage and .545 on-base percentage to pace Saint Francis U at the USF Tournament. During that five-game stretch, the rookie utility player scored twice and drove in five runs. A native of Dallastown, PA, Thompson gave the Red Flash an early three-run lead against Penn State on Friday after going yard in the top of the second in an eventual 9-3 defeat. In a 6-4 win against Marist later that day, she drove in one run and crossed home once in Saint Francis U’s 5-0 first inning. Leading the team with two home runs, Thompson is third with six RBI this season. This is her first NEC Rookie of the Week honor.
