Katz exploded for a career-best outing against Bryant on Saturday. The senior attacker found the back of the net seven times to pace the Sharks’ offense in a 20-14 defeat to Bryant. Katz’s goal total was the highest by an LIU player against a Division I opponent since Jenn Peters scored eight times against Campbell on March 14, 2015. The Manorville, NY native has registered multiple goals in four games this season. With three hat tricks to her name, Katz is second in the circuit with 19 goals, while her 2.38 scores per game are good for fourth overall. This is Katz’s second NEC Player of the Week award this season, as she previously earned the distinction on Feb. 20.
