Fisher scored a career-high five goals to power Saint Francis U to a 12-9 win at Kent State in non-conference action on Friday. The rookie sparked a 3-0 Red Flash run in the second quarter with back-to-back goals to break open a tied game and give her team a lead they would not relinquish for the remainder of the afternoon. The five goals were one shy of Saint Francis U’s freshman record, which is held by Chelsea Kent, who had six scores on two occasions against Niagara and Howard in the 2008 campaign. In addition to her big offensive outing, Fisher added five draw controls and two ground balls. With the victory, the Red Flash are off to a 4-1 start for the first time in program history. Scoring in four of her five games this season, the Duxbury, MA native leads Saint Francis U with 12 goals. Fisher is the second Red Flash rookie to garner weekly recognition from the league in as many weeks, as Julia Givens received the honor on March 6.
