Vesco tossed another gem for Saint Francis U at the Palmer Park Classic to earn NEC Pitcher of the Week honors for the third time this season. The veteran was lights out in a marathon against George Mason on Saturday. Going the distance in the 10-inning pitcher’s duel, Vesco allowed just one hit and struck out 14 batters to lead the Red Flash to the 1-0 victory. The Uniontown, OH native went on to register eight strikeouts in a 5-2 defeat to Virginia on Sunday. On the week, Vesco posted an 0.88 ERA after allowing five earned runs in a pair of starts ad 16.0 innings of work. She finished with 22 strikeouts and held opponents to a .113 batting average.
