NEC Player of the Month
Starastsenka, a first team All-NEC honoree last season, comes off a stellar month of play that saw her post a 6-1 singles record at #1 singles along with a 4-2 mark in doubles with a trio of different partners. The Belarus native collected a number of high profile wins, stopping All-Patriot League player Olivia Boeckman (6-2, 6-4) of Lafayette before rallying to down former NEC rival and second team award winner Sarah Hickey (5-7, 6-0, 6-1) of Bryant. Starastsenka also rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 victory over veteran Seton Hall competitor Arna Gumerova.
