Keane was sensational in traditional play at the New Jersey Open this past weekend, posting an average of 212.0 over six matches after knocking down 1,272 sticks. After 56 frames of baker play, the first-year Red Flash bowler went on to post a 20.07 frame average, which was good for a sixth-place overall finish and All-Tournament Team honors. Knocking down 8.96 pins per first-ball attempt over the two-day event, Keane cleaned up 21-of-22 nine-count spare attempts and was 27-of-42 when dealt a makeable spare. In addition, the Garden State product produced a 51.7 strike percentage — the fifth-best among NEC competitors this weekend — after knocking down all 10 pins in 60 of her 116 frames. With today’s distinction, Keane has now earned NEC Rookie of the Week honors a league-best seven times.
