Turner made major contributions off the bench and was a key factor in Saint Francis U picking up back-to-back victories in NEC play last week. Coming off a career-best 18-point outing at Merrimack on Feb. 11, the guard improved upon her career high against St. Francis Brooklyn after delivering 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and a 3-of-4 effort from behind the arc. Two days later at LIU, Turner had another career day. Making 7-of-14 shots from the floor, she poured in 20 points for yet another career-best performance. Most impressively, the Rockaway, NJ native pulled down 15 boards for her first-ever double-double. On the week, Turner averaged 19.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals. This is her first NEC Rookie of the Week award, and the first weekly award for a Saint Francis U player this season.
