Couture continues to turn in solid performances in the sprints. The junior receives NEC Track Athlete of the Week distinction for the second time in as many weeks — and the third time this season — after he posted a pair of IC4A-qualifying performances in the 200m and the 400m to place 15th and sixth, respectively, at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invite. Couture’s time of 21.63 in the 200m was two one-hundredths of a second off of his season-best performance, which is the second-fastest time in the NEC. In the 400m, the Sherrill, NY native ran the fastest time in the conference this season by 0.33 after clocking in at 47.51.
