Bowling the maximum number of frames, Howard topped all NEC athletes in overall frame average (20.93) at the Griffin Baker Classic, which featured a 20-team field. Powering the 14th-ranked Knights to a fourth-place finish, the sophomore averaged a league-leading 9.33 pins per first-ball attempt over the course of the two-day event, which was hosted by Chestnut Hill College in New Castle, DE. Howard was on fire during that stretch, recording strikes in 58-of-104 attempts (.558) en-route to an .846 filled frames percentage. Both of those numbers were league-leading marks for the weekend. The Downey, CA native also converted on 32-of-39 makable spares. FDU, which went 5-0 on the first day, finished 7-3 over the two-day stretch. This is Howard's first NEC Bowler of the Week award.
