Lanpher was red hot for CCSU last week, and as a result, she strung together two of the top back-to-back offensive performances the league has seen this season. Averaging 29.0 points per game, the Princeton, MA native had an extremely hot hand during that stretch, combining to shoot 64.5 percent from the field (20-of-30), 64.3 percent from three-point range (9-of-14) and 90.0 percent from the charity stripe (9-of-10). Lanpher had a career day against St. Francis Brooklyn on Thursday. Knocking down 4-of-7 from downtown, the guard dropped a career-high 30 points in just 29 minutes of action. It marked CCSU’s first 30+ point outing since Dec. 14, 2020, when Emma McCamus scored 30 at St. Francis Brooklyn. Lanpher picked up right where she left off on Saturday when the Blue Devils hosted Sacred Heart, which entered the contest on top of the NEC standings. The Princeton, MA native went 5-of-7 from behind the arc and 7-of-7 from the free throw line to finish with 28 points. In addition, Lanpher dropped six dimes to match a career high in the category. Lanpher, who has scored in double figures in four straight outings, leads CCSU in scoring with 12.9 ppg. Since conference play, she has been even more impressive, putting up 15.9 ppg to rank fourth in the circuit. This is her first NEC Player of the Week award, and the first for a Blue Devil this season.
