Pryor claims NEC Rookie of the Week for the fifth straight week, and the 10th time this season, after she put up back-to-back 20+ point outings for the Pioneers, who went 1-1 in conference play. The guard had another sensational week, averaging 23.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.5 steals and 4.0 assists in 37.0 minutes per game. Pryor wreaked havoc on Thursday at Wagner, which brought a 6-1 record and six straight home wins into the matchup. Dropping a game-high 25 points while registering six steals, the first-year came one rebound shy of her third double-double after corralling nine boards to lead the Pios to the 65-47 road win. Pryor had another monstrous outing against CCSU on Saturday, scoring 20+ points for the 10th time this season after finishing with 21 points in the defeat. The Baltimore native has registered double figures in each of her 22 games this season, a feat that has not been accomplished by any other player in the NEC. With this week’s 20-point outings, Pryor boosted her scoring average from 17.5 ppg to 18.0 ppg, which ranks first in the circuit. She needs three more Rookie of the Week nods to tie NEC record holder Jess Kovatch, who racked up 13 honors for Saint Francis U from 2015-16.
