Rafter blazed the track once again, this time turning in the NEC’s top performance this season in the mile at the UMass Flagship Invitational. Clocking in at 4:48.72, the graduate student led the field and shaved nearly half a second off of her previous league-best mark of 4:49.26, which was set earlier this month at the Wagner Invitational. Rafter’s time also ranks among the nation’s best, as it the 41st fastest in NCAA Division I in 2022-23. Now a three-time NEC Track Athlete of the Week honoree, Rafter owns the top times in the circuit in both the mile and the 5,000m distances.
