Fisher was a big part of St. Francis Brooklyn’s 65-59 win over CCSU on Friday. The veteran guard came one point shy of matching her career high in scoring after totaling a game-high 29 points. Fisher started — and finished — the game with an extremely hot hand. Knocking down each of her first seven shots, which included a perfect 4-of-4 effort from three-point range, she shot 83.3 percent from the field (10-of-12) for the NEC’s best single-game performance amongst players with eight-or-more makes this season. Fisher, who has scored in double figures 10 times this season, has netted at least 24 points in three of her past four games. During that stretch, which features her 30-point outing against Lafayette (Dec. 21), she has averaged 23.8 points per contest. The Baton Rouge, LA native is fourth in the loop in scoring at 15.7 points per game, while her 20.5 point-per-game average in conference play is tied with FDU junior forward Chloe Wilson for the best mark in the league. This is Fisher’s third NEC Player of the Week award this season.
