Pryor continues to establish herself as one of the most dominant and consistent guards in the circuit this season, and this week was no exception. The freshman guard combined to go 17-of-36 from the field (47.2 percent) and put up 24.5 points behind a pair of 20-point outings last week. In addition, Pryor got it done in nearly every facet of the game, stuffing the stat sheet by averaging 24.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 3.0 assists in Sacred Heart’s 1-1 week. A native of Baltimore, she got her week going with a 22-point, six-rebound effort against Bryant on Wednesday. Pryor bested that performance against Fairfield on Sunday, dropping 27 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the field while adding eight rebounds, five steals and four dimes. The 27 points are the most by an NEC freshman since St. Francis Brooklyn’s Nevena Dimitrijevic had 27 against Bryant on Feb. 21, 2020. In addition, her offensive outburst marks the second-best scoring performance by an NEC player this season, behind Stonehill’s Emily Bramanti, who was also tabbed the Co-Player of the Week following a 38-point effort. This is Pryor’s first NEC Player of the Week honor, and her fifth NEC weekly award this season.
