Kubanova picked up key singles victories in a pair of 4-3 dual match wins last week that stretched the Knights' unbeaten streak to five and helped FDU clinch the #2 seed in this week's NEC Tournament. She downed SHU's Ciara O'Toole, 7-6, 7-6, in #2 singles on Tuesday, then moved up to the #1 spot to stop reigning NEC Player of the Year Sofiya Kuzina, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3, on Friday. FDU's handed LIU it's first conference setback of the season and snapped the Sharks' 13-match win streak.
