After collecting NEC All-Rookie honors last season, Apostolou has elevated his game in his sophomore campaign at Sacred Heart. Apostolou, who competed at the #4 flight a year ago, moved into the top spot for the first time last week for the Pios and secured arguably the biggest win over his young career on Saturday with a back-and-forth 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (10) victory over St. Francis Brooklyn's Gustavo Pinho, a first team All-NEC award winner and the 2020-21 NEC Rookie of the Year. He also posted a 6-2, 7-5 triumph over BU's Dion Loutas the following afternoon.
