NEC Player of the Month
Kuzina, the reigning NEC Player of the Year, has opened the spring with a 7-3 singles mark for the four-time defending conference champs. All seven wins were of the straight set variety, and included a 6-3, 7-6 victory against Sacred Heart in the Sharks' 6-1 win. Starting off at the #4 flight in January, she worked her way up to a 6-3, 6-1 win against NJIT at the #1 spot by the end of February. Kuzina has also been stellar in doubles play. compiling a 7-2 mark with Valentina Dancenco. LIU has posted a 7-3 dual meet record, including Fordham, UConn, Saint Joseph's and NJIT.
