Brown had an incredibly hot hand from the field to lead all NEC players in scoring with 20.5 points per game last week. The sophomore forward shot a sizzling 72.0 percent from the field (18-of-25) for the Warriors, who split a pair of contests. Brown was also solid in the boards, averaging 8.5 rebounds in that stretch. She got her week off to a strong start, dropping a then career-high 19 points while adding nine boards in a defeat to LIU on Thursday. Brown was even more impressive on Saturday against St. Francis Brooklyn, as she elevated her career high to 22 points after shooting an efficient 81.8 percent (9-of-11) off the bench. She led all scorers in the victory. This is Brown’s first NEC Player of the Week honor this season.
