Dapaa becomes the second NEC student-athlete to win Player of the Week honors in consecutive weeks this season after putting up monstrous numbers for Saint Francis U last week. The senior led all NEC players in scoring and rebounding, averaging 19.5 points and 17.5 rebounds per game. She also combined for seven assists (3.5 per game) and five steals (2.5 per game). Extending her double-double streak to four, Dapaa was extremely efficient from the field for the Red Flash as well, combining to shoot 63.3 percent (19-of-30) on the week. Netting 16 points and pulling down a game-best 17 rebounds, she assisted on Jordan McLemore’s game-tying three-pointer to force in an eventual defeat at LIU on Thursday. Three days later, Dapaa scored with 1.6 seconds remaining to send Saturday’s contest against St. Francis Brooklyn into overtime. Dapaa finished that game with what is arguably her best double-double to date, pulling down 18 rebounds while scoring a season-high 23 points on 73.3 percent shooting from the field (11-of-15).
