Clay recorded the NEC’s top shot put mark this season with a toss of 17.69m to take first place at the Rutgers Open. His performance was an impressive one, as it topped his previous league-best mark of 16.68 by more than one meter. With his season-best throw, Clay is ranked 81st in the nation. This is his first Field Athlete of the Week award this season.
