Blanco Duran trimmed exactly 9.0 seconds off her season-opening mile time seven days after lifting the lid off the indoor campaign. The rookie runner clocked in at 5:10.58 while contesting the Seahawk Shootout in Staten Island, NY. The new time, which was good for fourth place overall at the meet, bumped Blanco Duran into the top spot in the Northeast Conference leader board. Two weeks into the 2021-22 indoor season, the Spanish-born Seahawk has cracked the NCAA Division I Top 40.
