Warfvinge kicked off the indoor season by striking gold in the long jump at the Bill Ward Invitational in Staten Island, NY. The senior leapt 5.64m (18’ 6”) on her second attempt of the competition and that mark held up as the meet’s best. En-route to the top of the early-season NEC leader board, Warfvinge finished 31 centimeters better than Bill Ward runner-up Amanda Belgrave (St. John’s).
