Lucas carried the Dukes to victory at LIU, accounting for 146 yards from scrimmage. The second-year running back rushed 20 times for 137 yards and one touchdown. He also made one reception for nine yards when former All-American went for 142 yards against Sacred Heart. Lucas’ 67-yard touchdown run, which stands as the fifth-longest rushing play in the NEC this season, gave Duquesne a 31-21 lead with 2:18 left in the third quarter. The Keystone State product helped the Dukes kill the clock durng the fourth quarter in Brookville. He rushed six times on a drive that burned 7:15 off the clock and ended with a field goal that boosted the lead to 34-21. He had runs of 15 and 11 yards on the Duquesne scoring march.
