NEC Rookie of the Month
Trainauskas began his FDU intercollegiate playing career by splitting four singles matches and posting a perfect 4-0 doubles record with Mehdi Dhouib. Competing at the Jim Hunt Invitational hosted by Navy, he picked up three-set singles wins over Navy's Christian Pumpelly and Christopher Newport's Alec Struase, and nearly knocked off All-Atlantic 10 honoree Daniel Kleibhan of Richmond, falling 10-8 in the third set. In going undefeated in doubles play, Trainauskas and Dhouib wrapped play with a 6-4 win over Delaware's Pascal Wagemaker and Luis Molina in the cross flight playoffs.
