Carter made multiple impact plays in the kick return game during Merrimack’s visit to MEAC member Delaware State. The explosive receiver, who has made multiple catches in all four games this season, totaled 112 return yards in the Warriors’ 47-10 win. Three of Carter’s four punt returns went for at least 15 yards and his lone kickoff return also set the Warriors up with a favorable drive start. After Delaware State took a 10-0 lead, Carter provided a spark by running the ensuing kick back 36 yards to set the Warriors’ offense up at the 48-yard line for an eventual touchdown drive. His 15-yard second-quarter punt return, which put the ball at the Mack 39, preceded the Warriors’ second touchdown drive. The Garden State set up back-to-back touchdown marches in the second half. First, he ripped off a 49-yard punt return down to the Delaware State 30-yard line and the Warriors cashed in two plays later for a 34-10 lead. Carter started Merrimack’s next possession with a 20-yard return to the 40.
