Chestnut ran for 170 yards and one touchdown over three quarters of action in Sacred Heart's 21-0 shutout of Patriot League spring runner-up Bucknell. His rushing output represented the second-highest single-game yards total in the NCAA FCS through Week 1. The senior running back averaged 6.5 yards per rush and recorded first downs on 11 of his attempts. The certified chains mover extended his touchdown streak to nine games in a row dating back to the 2019 season. Chestnut powered the Pioneers’ third-quarter touchdown drive that extended the home team’s lead to 14-0. He carried six times for 46 yards, including a six-yard burst on a 4th-and-2 play. Chestnut capped the series by plunging into the end zone from two yards out with 3:40 remaining in the third quarter.
