Madureira opened his college career with a pair of marquee singles victories for the Terriers, who split two NEC matches last week. Inserted at the #1 flight, the Rio de Janeiro native registered a 7-6, 6-2 win over first team All-NEC honoree William Wibmer last Friday, then downed FDU ace Teodors Pukse, 7-6, 6-3, in a tightly contested 4-3 setback to the Knights on Tuesday. Madureira and Miroslav Cvjetan also posted a 6-2 win at #1 doubles to help spark a much improved SFBK squad to a 6-1 win over the Pioneers.
