In becoming first NEC player since LIU’s E.J. Reed during the 2012-13 season to earn three straight NEC Rookie of the Week honors, Hunt played like a veteran during first place Wagner’s 4-0 week. He averaged 10.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists, shot 45.5 percent from three-point range and turned the ball over only four times in 134 minutes as the Seahawks stretched their win streak to nine and improved to 10-4 in NEC play. Hunt also came up big in Sunday’s tightly contested 70-68 win over Saint Francis U. The Upper Marlboro, MD product tied the game at 66 on jumper with 2:26 to play, and his steal and transition layup put Wagner up 70-66 with 55 seconds remaining. Hunt leads NEC freshmen in scoring with 11.0 ppg and ranks tenth on the circuit in three-point accuracy at 39.3 percent.
