Flowers just about did it all for the Sharks in a weekend sweep of CCSU. The redshirt senior supplied 23.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.0 blocks as LIU moved to 9-7 in NEC play and strengthened its playoff hopes heading into the final 10 days of the regular season. Flowers posted a pair of double-doubles, starting with a 20-point, 10-rebound, seven-assist effort in Saturday’s 87-74 win. The following afternoon he produced an almost unmatched stat line with 26 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, four steals and two blocks as LIU held on for an 81-79 win. In doing so, Flowers became just the second DI player nationally over the last decade - LSU’s Ben Simmons being the other - with at least 26p/11r/6a/4s/2b in a game. The Waterbury, CT native is all over NEC individual leaderboards, ranking in the NEC top-five in scoring (17.7, third), rebounding (8.1, fourth), assists (3.8, eighth), steals (2.0, second), blocks (1.2, seventh) and double-doubles (6, second).
