NEC Player of the Month
Pukse is off to a blazing start this spring, having posted an 8-0 singles record in #1 flight play in February to earn dual NEC Player and Rookie honors. He won six of his eight matches in straight sets, defeating opponents from Hofstra, Delaware, Navy, Concordia (NY), Queens, NJIT, St. Francis Brooklyn and Monmouth. His most impressive win may have been his 6-1, 6-4 victory over Delaware’s James Wilkinson, which marked the lone setback of the spring for the Blue Hens’ star. Pukse, who was the September NEC Rookie of the Month, is 16-5 overall in singles competition in 2019-20.
