Filling in for injured starting quarterback Logan Marchi, McCray was at the controls for Sacred Heart’s 41-7 triumph over Wagner. The redshirt freshman averaged 7.5 yards per pass attempt and used his legs to total 21 yards on the ground. McCray, who threw for six first downs, logged his first career touchdown pass on the final play of a 61-yard drive early in the fourth quarter. The 6-foot-2 signal caller hit Tyrese Chambers on a 9-yard pass play in the front-left corner of the end zone. McCray logged two 10+ yard runs. He rushed for 11 yards on a 3rd-and-3 in the second quarter and added a 12-yard run down to the Wagner 8-yard line on a third-quarter touchdown drive.
