WEEK 10 Stats:

Chestnut’s workman-like performance carried the Pioneers to a 24-17 NEC road win over Bryant. The sophomore running back broke the 200-yard rushing barrier while carrying a NEC single-game season-high 43 times. Totaling 216 yards from scrimmage, Chestnut rushed for 203 yards and made one reception for 13 yards. He recorded 12 first downs in the game, including thrice moving the chains on SHU’s final possession. With the Pioneers protecting a seven-point advantage, Chestnut carried eight straight times for 44 yards and SHU ran the final 5:27 off the clock. While setting his career-high rushing total, the native Marylander became the ninth Pioneer to record a 200-yard game on the ground.
