Leading Central Connecticut to its third consecutive win, Winchester played his way to a third straight NEC Offensive Player of the Week award. The dual-threat signal caller, who was responsible for four first-half touchdowns, totaled 389 yards of offense in a 52-14 triumph over NEC rival Bryant. He averaged 12.0 yards per pass attempt and 16.1 yards per carry. Completing 68.4 percent of his passes, Winchester threw for 228 yards and connected on a pair of first-quarter scoring strikes to Kyren Petteway. Eight seconds into the second quarter, Winchester dashed 42 yards to paydirt to give CCSU a 21-0 lead. The 6-foot-2 field general was back in the end zone 8:00 later after tucking the ball away on a roll out and turning upfield for a 56-yard touchdown run. Winchester, who went 13-of-19 passing and rushed 10 times, enjoyed an early exit with his team holding a 45-14 fourth-quarter lead.
