Amanda Fitzgerald, Fairleigh Dickinson
Sr., GK, Holbrook, NY/Sachem East
Fitzgerald broke the Knights’ record for career shutouts after recording a pair over the weekend to lift her career total to 15. The three-time NEC Defensive Player of the Week from Holbrook, NY recorded 11 saves over the two conference wins, including six in the Knights’ 1-0 double overtime conquest of defending NEC champion CCSU on Thursday. Fitzgerald followed up her with another five stops in a 3-0 shutout of Sacred Heart on Sunday that improved first place FDU to 4-0 in league play. The senior goalkeeper has only allowed one goal in FDU’s four conference wins.
