Nova earned her second consecutive NEC Rookie of the Week honor with her strong play to help the Sharks’ jump out to a 2-0 start to conference play. The rookie from Pribham, Czech Republic registered 4.30 kills per set on .245 hitting to go along with 3.20 digs per set. Nova registered a pair of double-double performances on the weekend, opening with a career-high 23-kill performance in the Sharks’ 3-2 win over CCSU, adding 12 digs and two aces. She followed up on Saturday with a 20-20 effort in LIU’s 3-2 win over Sacred Heart, recording 20 kills, a career-high 20 digs, three blocks and a pair of aces. Nova has now notched a double-double in four-straight matches and ranks sixth in the league with 2.79 kills per set.|
