Schaberl was a standout for LIU this past weekend, helping to lead the Sharks to a pair of 3-2 wins over Central Connecticut and Sacred Heart to kick off conference play. The Graz, Austria native averaged an impressive 4.60 kills per set on a .246 hitting percentage to pair with 2.80 digs per set. Schaberl also notched a double-double in each win. In the conference opener over Central Connecticut on Friday, Schaberl crushed a match-high 23 kills and added 15 digs. The outside hitter also tallied three service aces. In the Sharks’ five-set win over Sacred Heart the following afternoon, Schaberl against posted a game-high 23 kills, this time paired with 13 digs for the double-double, while also tallying four blocks. She leads the NEC with 3.77 kills per set on the season.
