WEEK 1 Stats: 308 yards of total offense, 293 pass yards, 59.4 completion pct., 2 TD passes

Brown did plenty for Saint Francis during his first career start under center. The sophomore signal caller accounted for 308 yards of total offense and both Red Flash touchdowns in a 14-13 road win. The 6-foot-4 right-handed gunslinger went 22-of-37 passing for 293 yards and two scores. He netted 15 rush yards, too, including a key scramble for a first down on the game-winning, fourth-quarter drive. Brown completed his first four passes of the game, marching SFU into the red zone on a drive that ended with a missed field goal. The native Virginian sparked a second-half comeback with his first career touchdown pass, airing it out and hitting a wide open EJ Jenkins in stride for a 75-yard score that pulled the Flash within 13-7. Brown's second touchdown pass completed the comeback with 1:17 remaining in the game. Flushed out of the pocket on a 2nd-and-10 play, he found an open Terell Johnson along the sideline for a 35-yard scoring strike. Brown did not commit a turnover during his starting debut.
