Phelan repeats as the NEC Field Athlete of the Week after adding more than 1.50m to her league-leading javelin mark and climbing further up the NCAA Division I performance list. Moving up into the No. 24 spot on the DI national leader board, Phelan sent the javelin 48.89m (160’ 5”) to out-class the rest of the field at Susquehanna’s Jim Taylor Invitational. Her winning distance also bumped her up a number of notches to 11th on the DI East Region list. Phelan entered the month of April as the third-ranked javelin thrower amongst automatic qualifiers for the ECAC Championships.
