Barnes stormed to the top of the Northeast Conference leader board in two sprint events while contesting the Raleigh Relays at North Carolina State University. The second-year Mountaineer took eight place in the 200m dash, crossing the line in 24.57s. The time lifted the sophomore sprinter into the Top 25 on the ECAC Championships regional descending order list. Barnes narrowly missed the ECAC Championship auto standard in the 100m dash, but her 12.22s mark bumped the native Marylander ahead of FDU’s Madeline Price for the No. 1 spot in the NEC.
