Gabor posted the eighth-highest point total recorded amongst Division I Decathletes in the NCAA East Region thus far this season. Winning the Sam Adams Combined Events Invitational in Santa Barbara, CA, the veteran Mountaineer piled up 6,660 points while recording top-8 NEC marks in four separate field events. Eclipsing 22 feet, Gabor (6.78m) moved up into second place on the NEC long jump leader board. His 4.40m clearance in the pole vault is good enough for sixth place in the conference. Gabor’s high jump mark places him fifth amongst league leaders while his javelin performance from Santa Barbara, which was not a seasonal best, would rank eighth.
