Hue doubled the distance and recorded another league-leading time during her second appearance of the outdoor season. Returning to the track for the first time since clocking a season-opening 55.37 in the 400m dash at the Florida Relays, the French-born Blackbird struck gold in the 800m run at the George Mason Spring Invitational. Hue completed the half-mile race in 2:08.54, edging out Villanova’s Amari Onque-Shabazz for first place at the meet. In addition to recording the fastest 800m time in the NEC thus far this season, Hue moved up to the No. 53 spot on the NCAA DI East Region performance list.
