Frederick lowered his league-leading 200m dash time and broke an 18-year old program record in the process. The sophomore sprinter crossed the line in 21.12s at the George Mason Spring Invitational, finishing in second place by thousandths of a second. Setting his personal record, Frederick trimmed 0.39 second off the time he recorded one week earlier at the Colonial Relays. In addition to landing him in the Top 75 in the NCAA Division I East Region, Frederick’s latest performance bumps the sophomore past Keith Dellinger, who ran a 21.14 in May 2001, for the top spot in the SFU record book. Frederick also contested the 100m dash at Geroge Mason, clocking in at 10.66.
