Bermea strung together one of her best two game stretches of the season in LIU Brooklyn’s lone two games of the week. The 2018 NEC Rookie of the Year batted 3-for-6 with a triple, a home run, and seven runs batted in during the Blackbirds’ Saturday doubleheader sweep against Mount St. Mary’s. In the opener, Bermea broke a 1-1 tie with a bases clearing triple in the bottom of the first. She would then drive in another run with a single to right in the bottom of the third. In game two, the Saugus, CA native blasted her second home run of the season with a three-run shot to left in the bottom of the fifth. Last weekend marked the second time this season Bermea combined for seven RBI over a two-game span. Her 20 RBI are second on the Blackbirds, one shy of the team lead.
