WEEK 7 STATS: 1 start, 8.0 IP, 1 R, 6 H, 3 K, 4 BB
Abbatiello kept the Blue Devils’ bats at bay during the middle game of a NEC weekend series. The veteran lefty did not surrender an extra-base hit while limiting the opposition to one run over 8.0 innings in a 4-2 victory. Snapping the Seahawks’ three-game slide, Abbatiello went deeper into his start than any other NEC hurler last week. The senior southpaw scattered six singles and worked around four walks while striking out three batters. After surrendering back-to-back one-out singles in the second inning, Abbatiello did not allow another hit over the next 3.2 frames.
