Grigoryan recorded a pair of quality victories at #1 singles as the defending NEC champs downed Fordham (4-3) and five-time defending MAAC champ Quinnipiac (4-0) last week. In claiming her second straight NEC Player of the Week honor, the Moscow native first posted a 6-4, 6-2 win on Friday over Fordham’s Arina Taluyenko, who awas a first team Sun Belt all-star before transferring to the Rams. The following afternoon she downed three-time All-MAAC performer Jennifer Lu of Quinnipiac, 7-5, 6-0. Grigoryan is now 9-6 in dual match play on the year.
